Finally on the way to rome!

So finally, Sunday night came and we were on our way to Rome. Let me just say, that this was the longest/weirdest trip/ days ever. We started off at the chapel for mass at 8 pm with the Saint Mary's community. We received a blessing then got on the bus and were on our way to the BART. We got to SFO a little past 10 and we then waited to board our plane. We took off from SFO at about 1235 am and were on our way to Houston. Because of the time change and the 4 hour flight, we ended up at Houston around 5 am Texas time. This felt weird because we it seemed only a few hours before we were in front of the chapel at saint mary's getting ready to leave, and all of a sudden it was Monday morning. After a 4 hour layover, we were on our way to Newark, New Jersey. This flight did not seem long, but I started to feel really out of it. I began to realize it was afternoon East coast time and that I had been awake for over 24 hours. Finally we were on our way to Rome. Longest flight i had ever been on, but i had planned on sleeping the entire time. This did not entirely work because I woke up frequently throughout the flight. At times I had fallen asleep thinking that I had been asleep for hours, and that we would be in Rome soon, but then realizing that we still had 4 more hours in the air. We finally landed around 745 in the morning Rome time. We were all really excited but very tired. It was just weird to think we left on a Sunday night and did not stop travelling until Tuesday morning...Look for more posts soon! Were going to the Vatican tomorrow for an audience with the Pope.
